The 3rd Online Chinese Teaching Forum & Workshop
The Confucius Institute at Michigan State University (CI-MSU) is pleased to announce that the third Online Chinese Teaching Forum & Workshop will be held at Michigan State University on October 27th-28th, 2017. With the success of the 1st & 2nd OCTFW organized by the CI-MSU in 2015 and 2016, the 3rd OCTFW aims at continually promoting collaboration among educators in K-16 online Chinese teaching and learning field.
The theme of the forum is New Trends in Online Chinese Teaching. Participants can submit a proposal for an Onsite Presentation or a Remote Presentation. Dr. Kui Xie at Ohio State University, Dr. Jun Da at Middle Tennessee State University and Dr. Shijuan Liu at Indiana University of Pennsylvania will provide keynote speeches.

Time and Place
Time: 8:30am to 4pm EST, October 27th (Friday) & 28th (Saturday), 2017
Meeting Location: Private Room, Brody, Michigan State University
Registration Fee & Deadline
Forum on October 27th: $50 for onsite or remote participants
Workshop on October 28th: $50 for onsite or remote participants
Forum and Workshop: $100 for onsite or remote participants
Registration Deadline: October 9th, 2017
We will provide materials, breakfast, lunch, and snacks between sessions.
Participants are responsible for all other expenses. Registration fee will NOT be refunded.
Hotel: We recommend Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center which is very close to Brody where the OCTFW will be held. We blocked 10 rooms each day for Thursday (Oct. 26th) and Friday (Oct. 27th) at the rate of $108 per night plus tax. It is on a first come first serve base. Airport: the closest airport is Lansing Capital Region International Airport (LAN). It is about 12 miles (one way) from the airport to Henry Center and Candlewood Hotel. Alternatively, you can fly to Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) and take Michigan Flyter bus (about 2 hours one way) to East Lansing.
