Chinese Language Tutoring
Confucius Institute at Michigan State University is offering free Chinese summer tutoring opportunities for grade K-12 students. All instructors are native Chinese speakers who will be helpful with your study needs. No registration is needed, just walk in and learn with us. You are welcome to come for one session or you can attend them all!
When are the sessions?
Sessions are on Tuesdays & Thursdays for the following 4 weeks:
Tues (7/3) 1-3 pm & 4-7 pm
Thurs (7/5) 1-3 pm & 4-7 pm
Tues (7/10) 1-3 pm & 4-7 pm
Thurs (7/12) 1-3 pm & 4-7 pm
Note: There is no tutoring the week of July 16.

Thurs (7/26) 1-3 pm & 4-7 pm
Tues (7/31) 1-3 pm & 4-7 pm
Thurs (8/2) 1-3 pm & 4-7 pm
How can we help?
Any study needs related to Chinese language and culture are welcome at our turoring sessions. We can help with many things such as homework, Chinese test prep (HSK), and Chinese oral language practice.
Who may attend?
Any students in grades K-12 who need help learning or practicing Chinese.
Where is the location?
MSU Manly Miles Building
1405 S Harrison Rd, Room B15, East Lansing, MI 48823
Please enter the building through the door located by lot 86. Down the stairs in the basement, tutoring will be located in Room B15 which is the 4th door on the left.
Where to Park?
There are two ways to pay for parking: using the parking meters or a MSU Parking Permit.
Meter parking: If you choose to park in the meter spots, they can be found in both lot 85 and lot 93. The fee is $1.80 per hour and you can pay with cash or credit card at the meter.
Permit parking: You may also choose to purchase a parking permit from CI-MSU. Each permit is valid for 2 hours and costs $2. Please bring $2 in cash and upon arrival, our tutoring staff will issue a permit to park in Lot 86 (given the exception of handicapped, university vehicle, or metered spots).
