HALE: Higher, Adult, and Lifelong Education

The Higher, Adult, and Lifelong Education (HALE) program at Michigan State University is ranked 4th among all higher education programs in the country and has one of the largest full-time faculty contingents with eleven nationally and internationally recognized scholars.

HALE is a graduate study only program that offers masters and doctoral degrees to students seeking to build careers in community colleges, four-year colleges and universities, postsecondary research consortia, and adult learning agencies. Many students already work in such institutions and attend graduate study part-time. Full-time doctoral students are supported through assistantships.

The Center for Higher and Adult Education is closely connected to HALE and offers many exciting policy and international instruction, research, and outreach opportunities for students and faculty.
