K-12 Educational Administration
The K-12 Administration and Leadership program offers masters, specialists and doctoral degrees to educators seeking prominent leadership and policy roles in schools and in educational organizations locally, nationally and internationally.
The program is ranked as one of the top 10 educational leadership programs in the country. Participation provides educators with opportunities to study and collaborate with nationally recognized faculty working on critical issues in school leadership, school improvement, educational policy, international education and related areas. Our programs are approved by the Michigan Department of Education and qualify graduates for school administrator certification and endorsements.
Masters and specialist degree programs are designed to build knowledge and skills for effective school and district leadership and link students to leading edge developments. The doctoral program emphasizes inquiry and scholarship as a means to strengthening professional knowledge and practice. Most students are current educators who attend as either part time graduate students or are a full time students supported through doctoral assistantships. The program works often with the K-12 Outreach Center, which networks professionals to prominent educational organizations and the Education Policy Center, which offers students access to influential state and national policy makers.
