KIN Athletic Training Assistantships

Athletic training GAs are assigned to a variety of positions such as providing sports medicine services to MSU intercollegiate athletic teams, teaching KIN courses (especially first aid), and providing athletic training services to local high schools. Application Procedures

To be considered for these assistantships, submit the completed Application for KIN Athletic Training Emphasis (the same application used for admission to the master's degree concentration in athletic training) to the KIN graduate studies secretary by February 15 to be considered for positions starting in the fall semester.

Evaluation of KIN Athletic Training Graduate Assistants

The performance of each athletic training graduate assistant must be evaluated at least annually by Dr. John Powell and the supervisor of the athletic training facility to which the student is assigned. Evaluations will be based upon fulfilling the duties of the assistantship, maintaining athletic training skills and certifications, and professional demeanor.
